THE SOUL OF PASTORAL MINISTRY COHORT

Each year, Joel leads a group of young men earnest to prepare for next steps in ministry, especially the transition to church planting or lead pastor ministry. This cohort focuses on building a rich ecclesiology, pastoral practices and virtues, meekness and ministry, the spiritual formation of the pastor, and leadership from weakness. It’s Joel’s way of caring for the souls of young leaders and developing them toward healthier ministry expressions.

These cohorts enroll in Fall and commence in January of each year, with one meeting per month. Each meeting includes group discussion on a variety of essential issues related to the person and work of the pastor and the task of pastoral ministry. Further, various reading and written assignments, and one-on-one talks help push and challenge each participant.
